[Project Background] The Qatar Vinyl Company (QVC) 350,000-ton/year PVC plant project, invested by QatarEnergy, is located in the Ra's Laffan Industrial City. As Qatar's first PVC project, it marks a key strategic move for the Qatari chemical industry to extend into downstream high-value-added products.

[Role of Chinese Enterprises] China C&D Engineering Corporation (affiliated with Sinochem Group) undertook the EPCC turnkey contract for this project, covering the full scope from design, procurement, and construction to commissioning. The project officially commenced in April 2022.

[Project Achievements] As of May 2025, the project has celebrated 5 million safe man-hours, demonstrating China C&D's excellent safety management capabilities in complex international projects.

[Significance] A historic breakthrough from zero to one in Qatar's Chlor-alkali/PVC industry, and a representative case of Chinese chemical engineering enterprises continuously expanding in high-end chemical projects in the Middle East.
