[Project Background] The Kuwait Azour Refinery Clean Fuels Project (CFP) aims to upgrade refinery products to Euro V standard clean fuels by adding new hydrocracking, hydrodesulfurization, and other units, while enhancing overall crude oil processing capacity. With a total investment exceeding $14 billion, it is the largest single investment project in the history of Kuwait's petrochemical industry.

[Role of Chinese Enterprises] Sinopec Engineering Corporation (SEI) and related engineering design institutions participated in the engineering design and technical consulting work of the Kuwait Clean Fuels Project, providing engineering design services for core units such as hydrocracking and hydrogen production.

[Scope of Services] L2 engineering design services, including detailed or basic engineering design for hydrocracking units, hydrogen production units, sulfur recovery units, and others, have accumulated rich experience for Chinese engineering design enterprises participating in super-large-scale refinery upgrade projects in the Middle East.
