[Project Background] The Saudi Sadara Chemical Complex is a massive petrochemical complex jointly invested in by Saudi Aramco and Dow Chemical, with an investment of approximately $20 billion. Located in the Jubail Industrial City in Saudi Arabia, it is the largest petrochemical complex ever built in a single phase and includes 26 production units.

[Role of Chinese Enterprises] Subsidiaries of Sinopec Engineering Corporation (SEG), such as Sinopec Engineering International Corporation (SEI), participated in the EPC turnkey contracting of multiple units in the Sadara project. They undertook engineering design, equipment procurement, and construction. This represents a significant involvement of Chinese chemical engineering enterprises in this century-scale project.

[Scope of Services] L4 EPC turnkey contracting (for certain units), involving design, procurement, and construction of chemical units related to polyurethane raw materials and elastomers.
