[Project Background] The Ain Sokhna Industrial Zone in Egypt is a crucial industrial base in the country, adjacent to the Suez Canal with convenient transportation. This phosphate fertilizer project aims to utilize phosphate ore resources from Egypt and India to establish local phosphate fertilizer production facilities in Egypt, creating an export base for phosphate fertilizers targeting the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.

[Role of Chinese Enterprises] On October 13, 2025, in Cairo, Mo Dingge, Chairman of China National Chemical Engineering Group (CNCEC), and others witnessed the signing of the EPC contract for the phosphate fertilizer project between Donghua Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. (ECEC) and Indian and Egyptian enterprises. The project is located in Ain Sokhna, Egypt, approximately 120 kilometers from Cairo.

[Scope of Services] L4 EPC turnkey contract, providing full-process services including engineering design, equipment procurement, and construction for the phosphate fertilizer production facilities (including phosphoric acid and ammonium phosphate).

[Significance] This represents a key strategic deployment by Chinese chemical enterprises in Egypt's phosphate fertilizer sector. Leveraging China's advanced phosphate fertilizer process technology and engineering capabilities, it promotes the entry of Chinese phosphate chemical technology into the African market.
