Wuxi Jiangnan Cable Co., Ltd. was established in 1992 and is a national high-tech enterprise, one of the “Top 100 Enterprises in China’s Machinery Industry,” and among the “Top 10 Most Competitive Enterprises in China’s Wire & Cable Industry.” It has been included in the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council’s (“SASAC”) “Double-Hundred Action” program for deepened implementation and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s (“MIIT”) demonstration projects for the Internet of Things (“IoT”). The company is recognized as a national “Specialized, Refined, Distinctive, and Innovative” (“Zhuan Jing Te Xin”) Little Giant Enterprise and among Jiangsu Province’s first batch of “Outstanding Industrial Chain Leading Enterprises.”  

The company specializes in the research and development, manufacturing, and sales of wires and cables. Its core product portfolio includes high-voltage and extra-high-voltage cross-linked polyethylene (“XLPE”) insulated power cables rated up to 500 kV; special-purpose cables for rail transit; photovoltaic cables; torsion-resistant flexible cables for wind power generation; dynamic cables for offshore engineering; and fire-retardant and flame-resistant cables. These products are widely applied by major energy and infrastructure groups including State Grid Corporation of China, China Southern Power Grid, China National Petroleum Corporation (“CNPC”), Sinopec Group, China Railway Group Limited, China Railway Construction Corporation Limited, Huaneng Group, Datang Group, and State Power Investment Corporation (“SPIC”).  

Relying on its national-level postdoctoral research workstation, Jiangsu Provincial Enterprise Technology Center, Special Cable Engineering Technology Research Center, and CNAS-accredited laboratory, the company had accumulated over 480 authorized patents (including 127 invention patents) by the end of 2024 and has led or participated in the formulation or revision of 43 national standards, industry standards, and consortium standards. It has obtained certifications under ISO 9001/14001/45001 management systems, as well as authoritative domestic and international qualifications including CCC, MA, CRCC, UL/CSA, IECQ QC080000, RoHS, and REACH.  

The company has built China’s first intelligent production line for 500 kV XLPE cables. Its independently developed ±535 kV XLPE-insulated cables for flexible HVDC transmission have reached internationally advanced levels. Production bases are located in Yixing (Jiangsu), Hefei (Anhui), Nanchang (Jiangxi), and Xi’an (Shaanxi). Products are exported to more than 30 countries, including Germany, Brazil, India, Vietnam, and South Africa. Overseas revenue accounted for 12.6% of total revenue in 2023. A local technical service team has been established in Southeast Asia, enabling the company to provide full-chain cable solutions, customized R&D, standard coordination, joint technological breakthroughs, and global delivery services targeting sectors such as energy, transportation, and new infrastructure.
