Xinjiang Tianye (Group) Co., Ltd. is a large state-owned enterprise group approved for establishment by the People’s Government of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and controlled by the Eighth Division of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. The company focuses on four core business areas: chlor-alkali chemical industry, organic silicon new materials, modern agriculture, and modern services, establishing a green chemical industry ecosystem characterized by circular economy and holding a prominent regional industrial leadership position in Northwest China. Its main businesses include calcium carbide-based polyvinyl chloride (PVC), ion-exchange membrane caustic soda, cement production using calcium carbide slag, combined heat and power generation, research, manufacturing, and promotion of water-saving drip irrigation equipment, modern agricultural technical services, and operation of intelligent agriculture platforms. “Tianye”-branded PVC resin, caustic soda, and water-saving irrigation equipment are all nationally exempted products under quality inspection and have been included in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s “Catalogue of Key New Materials for First-batch Application Demonstration.” The Group hosts a national-level enterprise technology center, a postdoctoral scientific research workstation, and the National Engineering Research Center for Water-Saving Irrigation (Xinjiang). It has obtained over 1,200 authorized patents, led or participated in the formulation and revision of more than 40 national and industry standards, and holds comprehensive system certifications including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001, as well as permits for safe production of hazardous chemicals, pollutant discharge, water withdrawal, and nationwide industrial production of agricultural water-saving equipment. Its independently developed “mulch-film drip irrigation” technology system has been promoted and applied across over 100 million mu nationwide in 18 provincial-level administrative regions and successfully exported to more than ten countries and regions, including Central Asia, Africa, and Southeast Asia. Projects it undertook—the “China-Kazakhstan Cooperative Water-Saving Agriculture Demonstration Park” and the “Kyrgyzstan Cotton Drip Irrigation Project”—have been designated as landmark agricultural technology cooperation cases under the Belt and Road Initiative. Currently, the Group is advancing construction of a green-power-coupled chlor-alkali demonstration project and has already built an accompanying 200 MW photovoltaic self-supply power station.
