Hunan Nonferrous Hengdong Fluorochemical Co., Ltd. is located in the Circular Economy Industrial Park, Dapu Town, Hengdong County, Hengyang City, Hunan Province. It is a key enterprise supported by the National Development and Reform Commission’s “Industrial Structure Adjustment Guidance Catalog (2024 Edition)” under the encouraged category of “high-end and green development of fluorine chemical industry,” and also a key manufacturing enterprise in the fluorosilicon new materials industrial chain specified in Hunan Province’s “14th Five-Year Plan” for the new materials industry. The company was established in 2005. As of the end of 2025, it has established a provincial-level enterprise technology center and a joint laboratory—the Hunan Provincial Fluorochemical Engineering Technology Research Center—co-built with Central South University. It has obtained authorization for 12 invention patents to date.  

Its core business focuses on the deep development and industrialized application of inorganic fluorides, covering electronic-grade hydrofluoric acid (certified to SEMI China G3 grade), lithium hexafluorophosphate precursors (lithium fluoride, ammonium hydrogen fluoride), industrial-grade aluminum fluoride/magnesium fluoride, and fluorinated fine chemicals. Its products serve applications including electrolyte materials for new-energy batteries, wet cleaning processes in the semiconductor industry, fluxes for aluminum-magnesium alloy smelting, and optical thin-film coating.  

Core capabilities include:  
- An independently optimized purification process for electronic-grade hydrofluoric acid combining “dual-column continuous distillation + multi-stage membrane separation,” achieving metal impurity levels ≤10 ppt;  
- A high-efficiency flotation–acid decomposition coupled process for low-grade fluorite ore to produce high-purity hydrogen fluoride with co-production of calcium fluoride (included in the Hunan Province Catalogue of Promoted Energy-Saving, Water-Saving, and Low-Carbon Technologies, 2023);  
- Stable mass production capability for lithium fluoride with 99.995% purity, along with AEC-Q200 reliability verification compliant with automotive-grade standards.  

The company has obtained certifications for the ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 management systems. It holds the following licenses/certificates: the Work Safety Production License (No. Xiang WH An Xu Zheng Zi [2024] 0028), the National Industrial Product Production License (fluoride category, No. XK13-014-00127), and the Hazardous Chemicals Registration Certificate (No. 43042412000000017).  

In 2024, the company supplied 2,850 metric tons of lithium fluoride to Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL), BYD FinDream Battery Co., Ltd., and Gotion High-Tech Co., Ltd., accounting for approximately 11% of China’s domestic cathode-material-grade lithium fluoride market. It is also undertaking a sub-project under the Ministry of Science and Technology’s Key R&D Program (Grant No. 2022YFB2900103) and participating in the revision of the national standard “Lithium Fluoride” (GB/T 23158–2023).  

Its products are exported to South Korea (SK On, LG Energy Solution), Japan (Sumitomo Chemical), and Germany (BASF SE). In 2024, export revenue amounted to RMB 46.2 million, representing 19.3% of total revenue. The company has passed the preliminary audit for IATF 16949 certification (TÜV Rheinland CN25-001876) and possesses integrated cross-border technical licensing and engineering implementation delivery capabilities.
